Here at The Alchemy Songwriting Competition, we believe there are a lot of songs sitting around out there that need to be heard.  So we’ve taken it upon ourselves to find them.

We’re looking for songwriters with something original to say, something bold, something new.  We’re looking for seasoned lyricists with some years under your belts and for those fresh voices just getting started.  Hip hop and folk, jazz and rock, everything in between – we’re looking for you.

So pull out your ragged old notebooks with ink dripping off the pages and finish those lyrics.  Find that track you recorded years ago and make it heard.  Grab a hold of those melodies drifting inside your head and produce something great.  We want to hear it.

We want to hear it so much we are going to invite the top 10 overall winners to perform live for the judges at The Alchemy Songwriting Competition on December 3rd.

And the great thing about this whole competition is that 100% of the proceeds will go to benefit Blackbird Academy of Arts, Inc., a non-profit arts education organization.  So not only are you getting your music heard, but your money is helping to encourage the whole idea of art and music and creativity.
